The T430u is constructed with an aluminum top shell for added durability. Armed with the legendary ThinkVantage Active Protection System™ (APS) , your system is monitored by an accelerometer to detect movement and stop the drive, to help protect against damage when a fall or similar event is detected. Rubber mounts are used for the hard disk drive (rather than rails) and the HDD connector is not rigidly attached to the board, so the connector absorbs shock and impact.
