These data systems include educational data for elementary and secondary students, as well as post-secondary and workforce information.
Up to $5 million may be allocated for state data coordinators, awards to public/private organizations, or agencies to improve data coordination.
All funds distributed through this stimulus plan will be issued to state educational agencies based on the quality of competitive applications submitted to the U.S. Department of Education. The Department of Education is expected to announce the grant competition on June 24, 2009, but consult the Recovery.gov Statewide Data Systems site for updates and announcements.
