X Series models also come equipped with Lenovo Battery Stretch, a new feature of Power Manager that lets you make temporary selections in extreme situations to extend battery life beyond what your regular Power Manager settings might produce.
Durability
On-the-go people sometimes put themselves and their notebooks into risky situations. X Series notebooks are tough enough to take it.

On the X300 and X301 models and select X200s, Next Generation ThinkPad Roll Cage technology utilizes a carbon-fiber/ glass-fiber top cover (similar to the bodies of the latest jet airplanes and Formula 1 race cars) for added strength and even less weight.

And on the X200 and X200s, a magnesium-alloy top and bottom cover help to protect your system against flexing, impact and accidental drops.

For graphics, X Series models offer integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (256MB). Integrated graphics use less battery power than discrete graphics and fit better in ultraportable systems such as X Series models.

X Series features the UltraConnect II antenna, an innovative design that supports IEEE 802.11a, b, g and "draft n" wireless technologies. The X300, X301 and select X200s models take enhanced wireless coverage even further with its ultra-durable top cover. The secret is in the patent-pending technology that molds strong, non-interfering glass-fiber sides to the tough carbon-fiber backing for optimum wireless performance.

Ultra green
ThinkPad X300, X301 and select X200s models have received the prestigious EPEAT Gold rating for low energy use and minimal impact on the environment. They have all met 23 required environmental performance criteria and 75% of the optional criteria. They have also met the European Union's Reduction of Hazardous Substances standards. And they are all Energy Star 4.0 qualified, too. The X300 uses 25% less energy than previous X Series models.

The ThinkPad X200 has received an EPEAT Silver rating for conformance to a set of

comprehensive environmental features, and met 23 required criteria and 50% of the optional criteria. With its focused air flow design, ThinkPad X200 is cooler than its predecessors and provides balanced temperatures across the system. Its 3rd generation fan design guarantees super quiet computing. It also has achieved Energy Star 4.0 certification.
