When selecting a laptop, think about battery life

Laptops are invaluable for getting things done, but they’re also only as good as their battery life. We take our laptops everywhere and expect batteries to keep up with us. For that reason, long battery life tops the list for many laptop buyers.

Lenovo systems are designed to give you extra long battery life, and you can expect up to 10 hours on some systems. With extended battery options, some systems can last as long as 30 hours.

Power Manager
Lenovo laptops come loaded with Power Manager to help you easily manage your power settings. Just slide the bar towards the left for higher performance or to the right for longer battery life.  Power Manager handles all the behind-the-scenes work.

Battery Stretch
Fight the dreaded “low battery” notification.  Power Manager’s Battery Stretch automatically turns off certain functions, like radio and Bluetooth, in order to squeeze out those extra crucial minutes of power you need to get the job done.

• Avoid exposing your battery to heat. This includes resting your laptop on a pillow or blanket, which blocks air flow and makes the fan have to run more.

• Set your laptop to automatically “hibernate” after a few minutes of inactivity
• Avoid screensavers
