    Rugged Construction

A rubber bumper around the top cover absorbs the force of side bumps. The corners are 50 percent stronger, to reduce damage when dropped at an angle. The bezel is thicker, to protect the LCD panel, and a stronger rear cover reduces accidental LCD damage. The hinges and brackets have been strengthened, to last 50,000 cycles and to withstand more force to the cover. Reinforced ports and a reduced gap between anchored keys help prevent accidental damage from a bored child's exploring fingers. This is one tough machine.

    MIL-SPEC Tested

Military-specification testing validates the ruggedness, durability, and quality of ThinkPad products by testing against eight parameters: high pressure, humidity, vibration, high temperature, temperature shock, low pressure (15,000 ft), low temperature, and dust.

    Fast Data Transfer

Move data between the 11e and other devices quickly with USB 3.0 — it's up to 10 times faster than previous USB technologies and backward-compatible with USB 2.0.

    Integrated HD Webcam

The low-light-sensitive, 720p HD webcam with face-tracking, plus dual digital-array microphones, will help you enjoy web conferences or online video chats like you're really there.

    Powered USB Port

Enjoy the benefits of an always-on port, charging your USB devices without having to turn on your laptop.

    HDMI Output

For easy connection to a television or other display.

A 2 in 1 that crashes when the touchpad is touched in tablet mode (it is meant to switch off but it doesn t) Trying to contact the dealer for advice but couldn t find any point of contact, they keep sending you to the online frequently asked questions and you keep going in circles. Wish I bought from.another vendor instead

It is quite rigid, well made case, I would not call it a slick design but it looks thinkpad-ish, more or less square edges and straight lines - just the way I like it. Keyboard feels quite solid as well with a nice key feedback, good for touch typing. Very quiet even during heavy load.
Quite heavy for a laptop of this size but I knew about it before I've purchased it so not complaining. The only little thing that I've noticed is that the monitor lid is quite heavy as well and when you lift the laptop up, the lid falls back flat under its own weight. Battery life could be a bit better but cannot expect too much from machine running intel celeron.

Good build quality, nice positive keyboard. Reasonably fast start up.
I can't believe a mainstream company like Lenovo ships laptops with so much annoying adware pre-installed in the browser. I spent unnecessary set-up time uninstalling programs I didn't want, or need.

    - The touch screen.
    - The different viewing configurations.
    - Unwanted 3rd Party programs pop ups.
    - At first setup only given the MicroSoft Updates option of Automatic or No. Would have preferred the additional option of Manually deciding.

Very lightweight and good battery life.
    Performs better than I expected.
No light on keypad for hard drive activation or when Caps Lock is pressed. Slight annoying vibration of hard drive is felt on right hand wrist when typing. (it is under the thinkpad sign)

  • Ask an Owner

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the 11e Chrome

    1. sophea asked on
hello /i want to know how to using touchscreen only ? may to help me to introduce to use .
      thank
      1. Jessica replied on
Hi there. The product I purchased does not have touchscreen facility.
    2. Harry asked on
Hi there, I was wondering about the trackpad and the screen- does the trackpad perform well when using gestures on windows 8.1/10? And is the screen okay when it comes to colours, I'm not expecting anything amazing but are the colours accurate enough? Many thanks.
      1. Nigel replied on
The trackpad doesn't perform well. The colours seem to be reasonably accurate.
      2. Mark replied on
Hey. The trackpad performs fine for certain gestures, but not all of them. The screen is actually pretty good for colour accuracy.
    3. A shopper asked on
Hi Im a student and im looking at buying one of these laptops, but im a little concerned about the battery life, is it good for everyday tasks like word processing and surfing the web, would i need to take my charger with me if im using it all day.
      1. Katy replied on
        Hi,
Battery life is ok, but you would definitely need the charger to cover a full days use. It's a brilliant lap top though, well worth the money.
      2. J replied on
The battery life is good, but if I really needed to work all day, I would take the charger. The charger is pretty small anyway, and the mains lead can unplug from it so it can wrap up neatly. The best way to save battery I have found is to turn the screen brightness down (anything above half is really pretty bright), and set the Intel graphics settings power options to save battery when not plugged in.
    4. A shopper asked on
how is the performance of this laptop? can it run large games like DOTA 2 and LOL?
      1. J replied on
It's not really intended as a gaming laptop, and I've not tried running any games.
The closest review I could find that tested Dota 2 is here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Lenovo-IdeaPad-Yoga-2-11-Convertible.116051.0.html it averages about 30fps on minimum detail. The Yoga 11e has a slightly slower CPU than the yoga IdeaPad in the review, see here: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=2255&cmp[]=2123 so I guess the game would run, but would not be very smooth. I don't know about LOL.
I wouldn't recommend the yoga 11e for gaming. For web browsing, youtube, skype, etc, it's fine. If you want something that's OK for gaming, you probably need to look at something chunkier (the 11e is really very thin and light), or more expensive.
