Looks nice, feels like good quality and has a proper keyboard.
I specifically wanted it for teaching, using a big old VGA projector. It does work, but only with a special adaptor that runs a little 'booster' from the USB socket. This means I can't use it as a tablet but only with the keyboard attached, so less freedom of movement.

    Dorking GB
    Having a keyboard
Screen can be in theatre mode with the front facing speaker or turned around for laptop mode
Folds up to act as its own case
Different charger for the Miix 2 and for the Lenovo ideapad laptop
Numbers on the keyboard are offset compared to a laptop keyboard
Backspace is hard to reach, keep catching the delete key instead - takes a bit of getting used to when you're constantly changing between Miix and ideapad laptop

    Keyboard with touchpad mouse.
Tablet and keyboard separate so makes it very flexible.
    It is its own stand.
    Great style.
Battery lasts a few hours but would be perfect if it lasted longer.

    Great screen
    Good battery life
    Performance is good
Sharp corners make it a bit uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time
    Keyboard is too cramped
Screen angle cannot be adjusted when docked to keyboard - not ideal for using on your laptop but ok on a desk.

When it works it is a very portable pc.
Beware when ordering, two working days in Lenovo speak is one and a half weeks
This item is very buggy. The 3g is unreliable. The unit randomly shuts down and is difficult to restart. Finally the expensive sleeve is very poor quality, the silver paint is flaking off. I will be asking for a refund for the case.

  • Ask an Owner

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Lenovo Miix2 10 Inch

    1. A shopper asked on
I'm hoping to use this for teaching and wonder if anyone has used it with a lecture-room type projector? Obviously you need at least one adaptor using the micro-HDMI port, which might cause problems, but I'm just wondering whether these little tablet-type beasts have basically enough oomph to show film clips (including sound) on a big old VGA projector.
      1. Andrew replied on
The processor inside is very small but more than capable of displaying a HD res. video on the screen, therefore it should have no issue displaying said video through the projector. However, I have never tried this so cannot guarantee!
