The body of it is really really bad. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it as I regret it. the body and even performance is not great. the structure of it is very poor. I don't understand why would you use such a cheap plastic for such a high spec laptop.

    Good performance and specifications.
Keyboard and surrounding area very delicate and light. Visible gaps under every key. I was disappointed with this, and would not have purchased this machine if I had known of the keyboard area build quality. (Purchased online direct from Lenovo)

Very lightweight, sleek design. Battery life is very good, especially when idle.
Sound card driver; doesn't give an option for loudness equalization. End button is located too close to arrow keys; often lose place in an article when reading.

  • Ask an Owner

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the G50

    1. Liam asked on
Thinking of buying for my son, would be using it for homework, learning to code and playing minecraft? Would this be suitable? Many thanks
      1. Marina replied on
Yes it's quick and snappy. Would recommend for homework and has enough power to run minecraft. Learning to code is definitely going to be smooth running for you.
I've actually played some new titles on it such as Battlefield and it ran it without a problem.
It also has enough power to run video editing fast and photoshop. Hope this helped
      2. Arunas replied on
Hi, well for my home use it is perfect (internet, homework, online TV, movies, etc.), for palying some games, not sure, i don't play them, so cannot give advice that way, sorry. Otherwise it's really fine machine: size, weight, price. It has aditional numeric keyboard, which i'm really happy with.
Hope this is going to be helpfull.
    2. flynn asked on
is the fan noisy or has anybody had any trouble
      1. Stephen replied on
no you barely hear the fan and i've had no trouble at all since bought
    3. Rowan asked on
Is this computer good or does it have lag? Please get back to me soon
      1. Ken replied on
Hi Rowan. I have this laptop a couple of months now and would highly recommend it.
      2. Paul replied on
Overall I think its very good for basic use e.g college as that is what I use it for where it wont be used for more than a few simple basic tasks. I think its a steal for the price I got it and my brother who is mad about computers agrees. If you look after it and treat it right it will last years.
